1. Stock up
Fill up gas tanks, shop for breakfast lunch and dinner, and any prescription needed.
2. Leave cash and credit cards at home
Going complete cold turkey. In my book, it's pretty hard to go without my card or my small amount of cash I rarely carry.
3. Stay committed
Don't cancel anything that was preplanned even though it cost money.
4. Avoid temptations
Don't walk into the places that end up receiving your paycheck.
5. Get things done
With all the free time you have from not shopping, you can many things accomplished. For instance, cleaning, reading, getting a hobby... Etc.
... At the end of it all, track and calculate. If there's something that continuously calls your name, tabulate what that money can be spent on other than that.
Think I may try it in July when I go on my diet! Whoop whoop!
